How many times without knowing what our destiny would be, we heard our grandparents talking about how they got to Venezuela, fleeing their countries looking for a better future for themselves and their families.Today I remember with great affection my grandfather Victor, counting for the first time even if it was not like that, how his father (my great grandfather) came to Venezuela, specifically to the city of Puerto La Cruz where since his arrival he dedicated himself to work for his community.
He installed the town's first electric plant, the first cinema, the first mechanical workshop. Recently the alcaldÃ?Âa gave him a public recognition for his great contribution to the community.
We are now your great-grandchildren, grandchildren and even children, who have had to leave our countries, leaving behind, family, friends, assets and especially a bit of our heart.
It was not easy for our predecessors and it will not be easy for us. In my case I have been lucky in what fits because I am working in my area of knowledge and I have my wife and children with me, supporting us to be able to get ahead.
